Ahhhh.....another PageMap challenge. I am so addicted to these challenges now. But, this time no running out and spending a million dollars to complete the challenge. This time I added a little bit to the challenge for myself....NO SHOPPING! Oh no...what did I commit myself to?
With the added stress of not being able to buy new stuff for this one.....off to my mini scrapbook store also know as "my closet" to round up some supplies to get this done, all the while remembering there was a color challenge too! YIKES!
I once had a vision to complete a mini album that doubled as a cookbook for my 21 year old. Of course when I had the vision (I don't want to say how long ago it was...) I bought all the essentials, but never completed the project (go figure?). What a better time than the present to use those supplies. So, with this layout I used the Nana's Kitchen w/ Glitter stack by DCWV to get me started. I also wanted to use these pictures of my little one holding a slice of Daddy's favorite Black Walnut cake. I just love these pictures. The pictures in this layout were taken by me in Sepia. I was playing around with the camera to see what kind of result I would get. (I have to admit...I love them!) I cut out mini apron's with my favorite Cricut Cartridge, "From My Kitchen" and hung them on the line for the "banner" portion of the challenge. I used Tim Holtz Grunge board letters and distress inks for the title. I also have a bucket full of metal embellishment so why not throw a couple of them on there too! And to top it off...Prima Flowers are a MUST on every page!
I love the little dresses on the line! fab take on the sketch!
