So....I think I went all out this year for my daughter's eighth birthday. We wanted to have an ice cream social so why not do it right. I made the invites, the dress to wear and all the decorations, even a little photo booth from her craft table. I took Chinese lanterns and turned them into giant ice cream cones. The kids had a blast making magnetic trays, pencil/note holders and eating all the ice cream they could stomach! Here's a few of photo's from the event.
Ahhhh.....another PageMap challenge. I am so addicted to these challenges now. But, this time no running out and spending a million dollars to complete the challenge. This time I added a little bit to the challenge for myself....NO SHOPPING! Oh no...what did I commit myself to? With the added stress of not being able to buy new stuff for this one.....off to my mini scrapbook store also know as "my closet" to round up some supplies to get this done, all the while remembering there was a color challenge too! YIKES! I once had a vision to complete a mini album that doubled as a cookbook for my 21 year old. Of course when I had the vision (I don't want to say how long ago it was...) I bought all the essentials, but never completed the project (go figure?). What a better time than the present to use those supplies. So, with this layout I used the Nana's Kitchen w/ Glitter stack by DCWV to get me started. I also wanted to use these pictures of my little one holding a slice...
