Anyone up for a game of "Angry-Mitt?"

While in Hawaii my parents thought it would be great to put up a net where we could play volleyball & badminton. Once Grandpa showed Sabrina & the rest of the kids how to play....they fell in love with the game!

The next morning Sabrina came to me at said...."Who wants to play Angry-Mitt?" I looked at her and said... "What...Angry mitt?" What is she talking about? I asked her a couple of times what she was talking about and when she finally told me...."you know the game where you hit the bird with the racket!" Finally the light bulb in my head went off.....it was BADMINTON! The game of badminton will never be called it's true name again in the Baldwin family! Who wants to play "Angry-Mitt?"

I hope you enjoyed the story and the layout as well. I used BoBunny papers and made my own birdie with a piece of plastic canvas I had laying around for a hundred years. I love the new American Crafts flowers that just had to make it on this layout!

Thanks to Becky for inspiring us!

Ahhhh.....another PageMap challenge. I am so addicted to these challenges now. But, this time no running out and spending a million dollars to complete the challenge. This time I added a little bit to the challenge for myself....NO SHOPPING! Oh no...what did I commit myself to? With the added stress of not being able to buy new stuff for this one.....off to my mini scrapbook store also know as "my closet" to round up some supplies to get this done, all the while remembering there was a color challenge too! YIKES! I once had a vision to complete a mini album that doubled as a cookbook for my 21 year old. Of course when I had the vision (I don't want to say how long ago it was...) I bought all the essentials, but never completed the project (go figure?). What a better time than the present to use those supplies. So, with this layout I used the Nana's Kitchen w/ Glitter stack by DCWV to get me started. I also wanted to use these pictures of my little one holding a slice

My Memory Suite sketch contest Can you believe it's been six months since I've posted anything....WOW!!!! Now that doesn't mean that I haven't been scrappin', it just means I haven't had the chance to put anything up online. Here's why. In April I was making meatloaf for dinner. I put all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and dove my hands into it to mix it all up....all of a sudden....WOOOOOOOOOWW!!!! I dislocated my thumb! Yep...popped it right out! Yes, it hurt! So...here I am several months later with my hand in brace, numbness and tingling starting from the tip of my fingers that radiates up my arm and finally fades away once it hits my clavicle. I had x-rays taken, a MRI and a nerve conduction test. And the diagnosis.... Severe nerve damage that will take up to a year to heal itself. A YEAR!!!! But, I avoided having surgery and it will, in time, heal itself. Ahhhh! So...my friends/followers...I'm back in action!
Page Maps Bella Blvd sketch contest So…I thought to myself…today (well actually yesterday since I’m posting this today) is National Scrapbook Day and I’m not going to scrap…WHAT????   Being that I am a die-hard scrapper, why not whip up a quick entry for the Bella Blvd sketch contest . This layout is of my FOUR children who without them I would not be the person I am today.   They have taught me more than any teacher could have done with a text book.   They have taught me how to love someone unconditionally, how to be patient without losing my mind in the process and they have taught me to take life as it comes.   I wish I could say that I had everything planned out in my life, but I’m much happier letting life take its course and I go along for the ride.   With Mother’s day just around the corner I hope that they realize what a joy it is to be their Mom. Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s out there!   I couldn’t imagine my life without these four very different and very b
