Sweet Memories - Basic Grey "Curio" line

The new Basic Grey "Curio" line is sooooo me! I loved every sheet of it as well as all the embellishments.

I created this particular layout for a store sample at work. Once I finish creating the sample I had to buy it all! (go figure) I left work that day looking forward to all the fun things I can create with my bag of goodies.

Once I find some spare time to whip up some more pages....I'll post them here! (promise!) I might even use some of the BasicGrey PageMaps on pagemaps.com

Okay I have to confess....I couldn't keep my hands of my bag of goodies and I just had to throw together a quick layout! (okay...it took me 1 hour just to get the words in the right place!) This picture was taken in Hawaii this past summer, it's my son Ben and I - love this picture of us. The layout was inspired by one of the PageMaps November online 12x12 sketches (Thanks Becky!)

Here's a couple more layouts I created with the Basic Grey Curio line....if I don't slow down I won't have any paper left! And we all know how we like to keep the stuff we buy rather than using it! These layouts were also inspired by PageMaps November online sketches.

This layout is of my youngest (and the most "scrapped" child out of the four) while at the park a few days after she broke her arm and was not able to play on the playground or participate in soccer. She was a real trooper and never complained about not being able to play, that's my girl!

This next layout is has a little story behind it.....A few years back my little decided she would cut her own hair. (Don't they all do this AT least once?)

So, after several months of wearing headbands every single day, I thought it would be a good time to fix the problem. I took her to my cousin Adrienne who is a hair stylist. Adrienne cut her hair that day and gave her a little lecture on how you should never cut your own hair. She agreed 100% that she would NEVER cut her hair again. But, she also interpreted that to.....no one else could ever cut her hair.....but Adrienne! So....Sabrina refuses to let anyone cut her hair but Adrienne. Only one tiny little problem....Adrienne lives 3,500 miles away! So how do we deal with this situation? Sabrina gets ONE hair cut a year while on vacation in California. And we thought only celebrities spend outrageous amounts of money to get there haircut! hehehehe!

PageMaps RW Laser Cuts Chipboard Contest

Ahhhh.....another PageMap challenge. I am so addicted to these challenges now. But, this time no running out and spending a million dollars to complete the challenge. This time I added a little bit to the challenge for myself....NO SHOPPING! Oh no...what did I commit myself to? With the added stress of not being able to buy new stuff for this one.....off to my mini scrapbook store also know as "my closet" to round up some supplies to get this done, all the while remembering there was a color challenge too! YIKES! I once had a vision to complete a mini album that doubled as a cookbook for my 21 year old. Of course when I had the vision (I don't want to say how long ago it was...) I bought all the essentials, but never completed the project (go figure?). What a better time than the present to use those supplies. So, with this layout I used the Nana's Kitchen w/ Glitter stack by DCWV to get me started. I also wanted to use these pictures of my little one holding a slice

PageMaps Contest

My Memory Suite sketch contest Can you believe it's been six months since I've posted anything....WOW!!!! Now that doesn't mean that I haven't been scrappin', it just means I haven't had the chance to put anything up online. Here's why. In April I was making meatloaf for dinner. I put all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and dove my hands into it to mix it all up....all of a sudden....WOOOOOOOOOWW!!!! I dislocated my thumb! Yep...popped it right out! Yes, it hurt! So...here I am several months later with my hand in brace, numbness and tingling starting from the tip of my fingers that radiates up my arm and finally fades away once it hits my clavicle. I had x-rays taken, a MRI and a nerve conduction test. And the diagnosis.... Severe nerve damage that will take up to a year to heal itself. A YEAR!!!! But, I avoided having surgery and it will, in time, heal itself. Ahhhh! So...my friends/followers...I'm back in action!
Page Maps Bella Blvd sketch contest So…I thought to myself…today (well actually yesterday since I’m posting this today) is National Scrapbook Day and I’m not going to scrap…WHAT????   Being that I am a die-hard scrapper, why not whip up a quick entry for the Bella Blvd sketch contest . This layout is of my FOUR children who without them I would not be the person I am today.   They have taught me more than any teacher could have done with a text book.   They have taught me how to love someone unconditionally, how to be patient without losing my mind in the process and they have taught me to take life as it comes.   I wish I could say that I had everything planned out in my life, but I’m much happier letting life take its course and I go along for the ride.   With Mother’s day just around the corner I hope that they realize what a joy it is to be their Mom. Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s out there!   I couldn’t imagine my life without these four very different and very b
